Terrapastel is a multi-genre electronic music producer originally from Manchester.
Using ideas from electronic, jungle, oldskool hardcore, ambient, classical, dub, braindance, techno and downtempo, much of his music is designed for dancing and sound systems, but doesn’t fit exactly into genres. The result is a fresh, evolving and unique sub-aware sound, procured and further refined from performing their own tracks to a crowd. Influences include: Debussy, Aphex Twin, Tomita, Boards of Canada, Plaid, uZiq, Autechre, Handel, as well as a lifelong love for jungle drum and bass.
Under several aliases they’ve had Radio 1 airplay, self-released over 100 tracks, and DJ’d at many clubs and free parties around the UK spanning over 20 years. They are a resident DJ at Tribal Gathering Festival (Cheshire) and played a super lively headline jungle D&B set this year under the ‘Nexlev’ name which was “talk of the town” – Oz, festival director. They also had a residency at Hotbox in Session’s monthly event over the 11 months of its existence. Other festival performances include several for Persons Unknown Festival (Mcr) and Westival in 2023. In 2025 they DJ’d at the Wob40 event in Wrexham and is due to perform in July at Home of the Drum as part of the Wob40 collective.
